I like it when my children say nice things about me. So, I’m sharing. My blog, my happy place.
From my daughter, CAI:
Happy birthday to my beautiful mom, who just happens to be one of the smartest, bravest, and most genuine women I know. You have always been a source of comfort and wisdom during my hard times. I wish you all the best on your journey in this new year of your life. Thank you for all your love, care, and concern for me. Love you!!

ma’s birthday survey
In lieu of an admiring post of my mother, she wanted to do a crappy internet survey. To find a happy medium between the two, I decided to write my own survey questions. Let’s roll.
1. Since embarking on your health and wellness journey, what are the three aspects you’ve enjoyed the most?
Adding yoga, adding written gratitude, and eating more greens.
2. Do you miss anything from your old lifestyle?
Not really, because it all made me feel so gross (I’m taking editorial charge and not including the second part of the answer.)
3. If you could have one wish fulfilled on your birthday, what would it be?
Any wish? I would have a house with land and people to take of the land — I don’t want to take care of it — by the water. I want to have plants and flowers and animals…
4. What has been your favorite birthday?
I think I had a really good eighth birthday… We only got to have parties every four years, and with my baptism, it was a big deal.

Moab, Oregon coast, and tbd.

To Kill A Mockingbird, Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry, My Bookhouse (the series)
7. Three favorite snacks? (regardless of health and how it makes you feel afterwards)
Oh gosh, that’s not fair… I have horrible taste in food. Baked cheetos, peanut M&Ms… wait, they’re not anymore… I really do like higher quality stuff. Creme brulee, a flourless chocolate cake with berries, and Mellow Mushroom margherita pizza with whole wheat crust.

It’s so obvious but I’d like to meet Oprah. Gloria Steinem? I’d like to meet Tim Ferris and Seth Godin… I don’t know, Jesus? Gandhi?
10. If you could be anyone for a day, who would it be?
I don’t know, maybe someone super smart or super fit…someone who could run like 100 miles or a great yogi who is super bendy… someone who can do something I can’t, so I can know what it’s like.
